POST SHOW LESSON PLAN 2

Responding to the Show Orally and in Written Form

Action

  1. Have an oral review session of the play.
  2. Ask open questions: What did you see? What did you hear? What did you feel? What did you think?
  3. To encourage feedback and a better discussion validate answers only by repeating them. E.g child - “ I saw a train”, teacher “a train” then ask did anyone else see a train? What made you think it was a train?
  4. When the class has discussed the show orally ask them to imagine an image from the show that they remember or that they enjoyed.
  5. After orally considering the play, the children can now write down their views. Encourage them to write about the things they liked rather than simply re-telling the story of the show.
  6. The age of the class will dictate the amount of text they will write.
  7. If they are have trouble writing their opinions, it can help for them to begin with drawing an image from the show and then writing about why they chose that image.
  8. When the work is finished the children could share their review with the rest of the children.

Déan íomhánna na bpáistí agus an curaclam staire faoi 1916 a cheangal. Is deis luachmhar é seo chun ábhar nua a phlé nó chun súil siar a chaitheamh ar eolas atá feicthe acu cheana.

 

 

 

Action

  1. Déan léirmheas ó bhéal den taispeántas mar ghrúpa.
  2. Cuir ceisteanna oscailte: Cad a chonaic sibh? Cad a chuala sibh? Cad a cheap sibh? Cad a mhothagh sibh?
  3. Chun aiseolas agus plé níos fearr a spreagadh, déan freagraí na bpáistí a athrá chun iad a dheimhniú. Mar shampla: Páiste: Chonaic mise traein. Múinteoir: Traein. Cé eile a chonaic traein? Cén fáth ar cheap tú gur traein a bhí ann?
  4. Nuair atá an taispeántas pléite ó bhéal ag an rang, fiafraigh dóibh íomhá ón dtaispeántas a sheas amach dóibh nó a thaitin leo a shamhlú.
  5. Tar éis an taispeántais a phlé ó bhéal is féidir leis na páistí a dtuairimí a scríobh síos. Abair leo na rudaí ar thaitin leo a scríobh, seachas an scéal féin a insint arís.
  6. Braithfidh an méid téacs a scríobhfaidh siad ar aois an ranga.
  7. Má tá deacrachtaí acu a dtuairimí a scríobh síos, cabhróidh sé leo má tharraingíonn siad íomhá ón dtaispeántas ar dtús agus na fáthanna ar roghnaigh siad an íomhá sin a scríobh.
